In my opinion the best rapper ever is Black Thought from the roots.

My favourite rapper is redman,  i don't think he is the best but he is my favourite.

I think Jay-z is the most prolific writer in the game, and I think Notorious BIG was the most creative mind ever to be in the game.

Tupac is a legend because he was extremely intelligent and talented. I rate him very highly as a poet, and as a very strong personality,  but overall I think he didn't have as wild an imagination as biggie, and that to me is important for an artist. Tupac made a lot of songs that were excellent, but he didn't have any songs that just took you to a different world. Biggie had a way of taking you into his world and making you love it. Just my opinion though. Remember it is music and it is really all about personal preference,  there is no one answer to that question.

Eminem is a great rapper,  one of the best without a doubt. I just grew out of his music,  his target audience is teenage boys so his material does not really appeal to me anymore,  though his skillz are undeniable.
