Mobileuncle and Mtk Engineering aren't working. Mtk droid tools won't detect my phone. I have installed all drivers needed... adb terminal and driver, yet no luck.  |

I need Gionee m2 battery pls. who is selling or direct me to where I can get one pls. I really need it to support the one I have as am expecting to go to NYSC camp by November. cheap power bank sellers should also contact me. I want to stay online for a week without worrying about charging phone pls. |

Gionee m2 guys who upgraded to kit kat 4.4.2 here is how to change ur IMEI. Don't pay anybody to change ur IMEI. Simply goto Mobile uncle tools... Goto engineer mode, open engineer mode (MTK) slide to connectivity, cds information, radio information then where u see AT+ u type E after the +. Now here is d trick, keep a space between d AT and d + ie... AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_1” (do you see the space now?) all applications and most write-ups online do not include the space! so when you get to that AT page make sure you insert the space by yourself... After dat just input ur IMEI and send. U should see ms sent. Reboot ur fone n flex. |

This is how to change imei on gionee m2 on kitkat PLEASE NOTE: AT+EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_NUM_HERE" the normal AT command above doesn't work.. it gives an error report like this: "this AT command is not valid for UserBuild" instead of the success report of: "AT COMMAND sent" Why? i found that there must be a space between T and + in the code. so make sure the code is like below and it will definitely work: AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_num_here” (do you see the space now?) all applications and most write-ups online do not include the space! so when you get to that AT page make sure you insert the "space" by yourself... thank you all for all the help... its good to finally contribute something useful to mankind *wink* tribute to the site: http://www.technostall.com/how-to-change-imei- number-android/ 2 Likes |

Hellooo! I am new here; a newbie. I got my m2 when it just arrived naija some months ago. Boy the ba3; quad core; etc all for 25k is a good buy. What more it has served me flawlessly. I heard it can be upgraded to 4.4.2 kitkat. Will somebody pls tell me what to do? |

Many thanks elijahire for ur reply. does it mean that I have to a laptop to do this upgrade no other way. I visited the sight and am directed to some complicated computer work. I tried also to join their forum, no way. so which way forward for me now. |

@Proffnico,i can't install the whatsapp plus on my phone,am unable to delete the bloatware whatsapp that came with the phone using root explorer via vendor as stated above,it complains when installing, my phone is rooted |
