Alright, thanks. I read somewhere in this thread where you said stock recovery can be gotten from stock ROM flash able by pc, how do I get back to stock recovery since am still on stock ROM? Would I also need to unroot before I can do that update?

you don't need to unroot... Just revert to stock recovery

Abeg mak una help me oh my phone nor boot pass gionee red logo again. I jst flash the the stock gionee recovery back then trying to update my phone. It since lik the update jst wip the system. Nd later write update error. Update is nt complete pls try again

Pls help, how do I do this exactly, I downloaded cwm recovery and flashed it through the tool. But I can't seems to find the stock recovery.img anywhere. Pls help with a link if am to download it somewhere or help with the directory if am to locate it on the phone.

plssss, am getting frustrated aleeady. i bricked my gionee p4 when trying to flash the original stock rom i got from xda. now the phone dosnt even respond to anything n i need a working preloader.bin to flash my phone. pls i ll b so greateful if any1 can upload d preloader.bin for gionee p4 or paste a link here. thanks in advance

Warlord, is it necessary I still flash the costume KitKat even though I bought mine with 4.4.2 already? And is true that it has better battery management and does it still require upgrading to reduce the heat effect?

Yes the newer models came with kit Kat

Almost same outlook though some experience difficulties in rooting...

Haven't really laid my hands on the new p4 series releases..

But the flashable kitkat stock ain't bad at all.. And I mean never experienced NEVER in capital letters overheating

Why would you wanna change from one stock kitkat to another stock kitkat in the first place?

I actually asked you about how I could update in one other thread but the update I got to take care of the overheating refuse upgrading, always tells me failed. I think I should just port another ROM.

Make a backup.. Flash another rom and if the symptoms persist..

Hold your fone hardware as responsible but probably firmware ish..

Gaming hard can cause hotness.... 3G MODE most times a probable suspect... Same unnecessary apps can also be responsible...

Troubleshoot your fone first..
