I was just taking an insight into family affairs lately and realised few things that we may already know and may not...
Here are few causes of bad behaviors in kids.
As adults, we should understand that they are at their most delicate stages! They are fragile and could break at the slightest stretch. Please let's pay attention to this short writeup and think about it:
1. Lack of love: some parents treat the children like it was a mistake bringing them into this world. I've seen occassions where the children run and hide at the slightest idea that their father is back from work! That is really terrible because the children emulate our actions and what kind of parents do u want ur children to grow into? I keep wondering.
2. Lack of parental guide on peer group selections: help ur children select good friends. Talk and teach them the importance of keeping good friends and how to identify and stay away from wayward ones. Show interest in their social lives.
3. Listen to ur children: learn to pay attention and understand ur children. Yes u procreated them but they are human beings now and no matter how young they may be, this is 21st century and age doesn't determine knowledge anymore. Ur kid might have a point and come to think of it...when u try to understand ur kids, they'll repay by trying to impress u.
4. Show concern in their academics: check their academic performances! Is he/she doing ok? Teach ur kids subjects that u may be good at. When u do, ur family bond will grow stronger.
5. Avoid pampering them: don't pamper ur children to the extreme. U will end up destroying the kid and he or she will lack the confidence to handle real life issues.
6. Pay attention to their spiritual life: no matter what religion u and ur kids belong to, its important to pay attention to them. Teach them from ur sacred book and pray with/for them.
7. Hang out with ur kids/ family and create time for them. Stop been a millitary man in ur own home. Let ur babies enjoy ur presence!
8. Lack of provission can also lead them to stealing and begging. Pls provide for ur kids. When u do so, they'll understand when u don't have and won't embarrass ur family by stealing or begging.
There are lots more I'd love to write about but lemme not bore u. Digest and think of other causes and remedies. Love y'all.
