What Would You Be Taking To Church Today. Your Bible Or Phone? by Nobody: 3:31am On Jun 29, 2014
I just wonder now a days what most christians does, even some of our pastore.. But to me it seems not good at all.
coming to church you are expect to come along with your bible, am not saying you cant come without your phone. But some people will leave there bible at home, some did not even have and comes with there phone alone...... Some wont see anything bad in it... But to me is a sign of disrespect to God...
And some pastors are not left alone on this, image a postor that suppose to come outside to preach with his bible, all you will see will be is phone/tablet.... I dont know what you guys thinks . Your phone that's full of indecency and a place will be call and you will stand up and read.. Who are you deceiving... Even some will be browsing when the sermon is going on. May God help us

what do you guys thinks about this... Is it Good or bad.... Or in an andvancement in christianity?

I support your argument.
While some may make frantic claims for evolving technology, I still believe the distraction from electronic gadget is high and so, it won't be a bad idea to ban using of such during service.

For me I don't see anything wrong with having your phone as a bible, its now depends on what usefulness it will serve when in church( the best way to avoid distraction from the device is to off Ŧh̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ data and meditate on the Word) because some will give one flimsy reason why U̶̲̥̅̊ shouldn't go to church with Ūя̲̅ phone ....technology has made lives easier for us... We were having clays as bible before the advent of paper books as bibles, and now we have phones, tablets et al. Why didn't we continue wit hour donkeys and camel that the early Jews were using instead of the cars, and other new means of transport we have now.

There is too much free will in Christianity.
Christians are more likely to become atheists than muslims.
Pastors nowadays preaches prosperity gospel instead of gospel of the kingdom of God.
It baffles me when Christians of nowadays do away with some important laws of the old testament claiming that the grace of Jesus has replaced it, but they didn't do away with tithes. Tithes is among the mosaic laws of the Scriptures(old testament). Truely, Jesus came with grace but He himself said He never came to do away with the law but to make them come true... Why do we have to select some and leave the rest.
Nowadays Churches, not all of them, but majority has turned to business organisation.
Jesus said, "do not turn my FATHER's house in a den of theives." but what is happenning today. Tithes, offerrings and donations is the main topic of Churches today. Though, it is normal to pay, offer and donate, but today Churches has taken it extremely too high.
So say, their own version of Christianity gives salvation, No, but your belief and your deeds.... But if anyone's work is burnt up, then he will lose it, but he himself will be saved as if he had escaped through the fire - 1 Cor. 3:15.
Jesus told the teachers of the law (Pharisees & Sadducees) that the Tax Collectors and the Prostitutes will go into the Kingdom of God before you who thinks you are righteous - Matthew 21:31.
May God have mercy upon Us.. I myself, I am not worthy.... I am not good, nor righteous, but by Christ all is possible...

Muslims are more religious and have a stronger faith in Allah than Christians do in Jesus. Christianity is a religion of convenience, anything can be done as long as certain magic words are recited after. Islam actually has a penal code under sharia law, and 'sin' comes with physical punisments. Allah may forgive the sinner, but he still has to endure the physical punishment under sharia.

Op, I actually took only my phone to church today, the woman next to me was just doing somehow, when d pastor now came up to give his sermon, he too brought out his phone and started reading, the woman just taya, she just dey look me dey look pastor like say we just rose from the pit of hell.

Using the bible app on my phone makes it easy for me to read the bible anywhere even while tryin to solve issues with people and I dont no what to do. But when in church, there are some verses I wish I had brought my paper bible so I can underline them and refer to them later, writing it on a notepad sometimes is just not enough.

So what if you go back to the sin and repeat the whole process? Does Christ punish you or is 3X the charm?
