Icon4s: Musa, Babatunde and Onazi 21. HmmmmmYeah, their passports say dey are 21. After all the likes of Okocha, Amokachi, Oliseh, Ikpeba and Amuneke featured in 1994 WC and still featured in 1996 Olympics. Grooming them together is the way to go. The likes of Emenike, Osaze, and Mikel may nt feature in 2018 WC so we need to start grooming that team now. The likes of Echiejile, Ambrose, Oboabona, oshaniwa and Moses who are still in their mid 20s can still be in the mix if dey dnt lose form. Infact any 3 of them can be included as part of the approved over aged players if we qualify for the Olympics proper. |

^^^ yeah. Adding 3 of those defenders as over age makes it the real Super Eagles without only Mikel, Osaze and Emenike and all 3 we can do without. That was similar to how we won d Olympics in 1996. Ambrose, Omeruo, Obaobona and Echiejile are our regular back 4. Onazi and Azeez( in place of Mikel) will handle d DM and CM. Olaitan/ Ajagun/ Iheanacho plays AM. Musa and Babatunde make up d Wings forwards while Nwofor or Ezekiel play CF. Keshi, if he remains d coach, should arrange for a friendly using this selection. I think the last U20 goalie (forgotten his name) was quite good. I feel he has d edge for now. I like the optimism around here.... But do anyone really think NFF can make such a drastic decision? where player power and corruption reigns, to leave out mikel, and is immobile sluggish cohorts, where the ego of the coach makes him reject the best striker in the country and favoring an already spent Yobo ahead of Odunlami who would have been motivated to make a name for him self......... ...I really doubt it, pdp and apc might unite before that takes place. |
