Xavier9ja: Did I say Cristiano Ronaldo isn't an immortal? I preferred George Finidi in the outside right position because I'm playing a 4-4-2 system. I would have selected Ronaldo if it were to be in a 4-3-3 system. The late Garrincha played in the 50s and 60s, I haven't come to this world by that time. |

2293c7a9: We celebrated those goals the same way in Warri. I just got into secondary school then so I was still a boy but I can still remember that night like it was yesterday. After each goal everyone would just run out of the house and onto the streets both young and old and run riot for like 2 minutes. It was a once in a lifetime thing, never to be experienced again. Both women and men, children and adult had a night that was out of this world. Even though the match was played in the middle of the night everyone stayed awake to watch it including those who had never watched football before. After the match no one slept, it was all drinking and chewing. If you didn't experience that night I'm sorry to say you truly missed one of those moments when Nigeria was truly one and all Nigerians were truly brothers and sisters. Classic moment. 2 Likes |
