If not Becos Henry is an irresponsible dude how will a husband be saying he doesn't love his wife but only fond of her. But I'm not too surprised at his attitude following his way of life before their wedding. Obviously u can see from all he has been doing and his comment shows that he's not ready for marriage truely. Just pity Linda Becos I don't know for how long this will continue.

Linda, infuriated, opened her husbands door. She nodded at his secretary and hastily entered his office. It was empty.
The secretary looked at her employer's wife and wondered what the problem was. No one needed to tell her that being nice to this enraged woman is extremely important-her job may depend on it.
'goodmorning ma'
'where in the hell is he?'
her voice was calmed. Almost a whisper.
'he is in a meeting ma'
'where'
'please ma, that meeting is very important to the agency'
'i didn't ask you that, did i? Where?'
'the conference room'
'show me'
'i can't ma. It might cost me my job'
'it won't cost you a dime. I give you my word'
The woman reluctantly led her to the conference room. She watched in horror as Linda pushed the door opened and enter.
'by the time Mr Anthony is done with me, not even his son can help me'
she slowly went back to her station. Meanwhile, Linda searched the room for her husband.
There were at least twelve people in the room and it suddenly went quite. Anthony broke the silence.
'what is the meaning of this Linda?'
She carefully masked her anger and replaced it with her brightest smile.
'i'm really sorry father but it is very important i speak with my husband. It can't wait'
she gave the room her best smile. Henry went on his feet. The room burst into laughter. Everyone was admiring the beautiful woman. They all thought mr Joseph was so lucky to have her'
'go on Mr Joseph, your wife needs you'
their guest said. Henry drew her to him and led her out. In his office, he began his line of apology.
'Sweetypie i know you are so angry with me right now, i'm very very sorry. Please go home and wait for me'
'no, you are not sorry. It was delibrate and it hurts'
'i'm begging you in the name of God, don't cause a scene. You can wait for me here. The meeting will last for two hours then we will go home and talk'
'you watched dressed, you wish me the best on my first day at work when you already bullied them into tarnishing my appointment. You made an utter and complete fool out of me'

Anthony Joseph strolled into the room. He glared at Linda.
'Linda, do you know what you just did? How dare you disrupt a meeting?'
Henry turned to his father.
'father, please leave. You are adding salt to injury'
'Henry are you out of your mind? You will let her go scot free?'
'Father, i'm loosing my patience. My wife and i are having a very important discusion. Please leave'
'we won't wait for you forever'
he said and stormed out of the room.
'Henry, how could you do this me?'
He thought of his wife and the meeting. If only Linda will agree to wait for him. He quickly signed a check of two hundred thousand naira to her.
He gave it to her. Linda stared at it and burst into tears. Does he think she wanted to work for the money?
'don't cry Linda. I'm begging you'
She tore the check and threw it on him. Henry looked at her in suprise. She picked her handbag and ran out of the office.
'Esther!'
'sir'
'i want these papers cleared from here. Cancel all my schedules, i will be going home immediately after the meeting'
'yes sir'
She watched him marched out. She had seen her boss with different women but his wife seemed to be the only one he cared for.
She had heard everything they've discussed. And she wondered how the two will solve this issue.

She sobbed quitely as she drove her Honda civic. She's done with the marriage.
With or without Daisy she's leaving. Her husband cared only for his selfish interest.
She went to the ATM and withdrawed what was remaining in it. She parked in front of sterling hotels and walked into the lobby.
'i want a room'
'your name please'
'mrs Linda Joseph'
'are you mr Henry's wife?'
'yeah. Is there a problem?'
'no, ma'am'
she paid for a night and collected her keys.
'enjoy your stay here'
'thank you'
in her room, she sobbed uncontrollably and fell into a deep sleep.

He was on his way home when a call came in.
'sir, she lodged in a hotel'

'thanks, don't forget to always keep an eye on her. I pay you to do that'
He drove home in silence. Daisy was playing hide and seek with the nanny. He kissed her and went upstairs to the room.
Henry swiftly packed a suitcase. Things were not working as planned but he needed to make it up to her. She had left his office really upset.
He called the nanny and instructed her to pack a suitcase for Daisy.
He drove them to Tara. She will be pleased to have her niece for a week.
Henry called his secretary and told her to not expect him for a week. He will be on vacation. To hell with his father.

'okay sir. She is in room 116'
'may i have a key?'

she hesitated and Henry quietly dropped some money on the counter.
She smiled and handed him the keys.
'by the way, we will be staying for a week'
he paid in cash and declined help transporting his suitcase upstairs.
Henry quietly unlucked the door to room 116. It was empty but he heard the water runing in the bathroom.
He lucked the door with keys and hid them under the rug in the room.
He lay down on the bed and thought of how to make his wife forgive him. He heard the the water stopped runing and knew she was through.
The door opened and she came out with a bathrobe. They stared at eachother.
She went to the door but it wouldn't open. Linda sighed in frustration.
'we need to talk'
Henry told her
'there is nothing to talk about. I'm tired'
'come over here'
'no'
'i'm very sorry Linda. Give me another chance'
'no thanks'
'i want us to talk like two married people'
'i'm walking out of this marriage Henry. You can keep Daisy. I know she will be well taken care of'
He frozed and then began to tremble. He walked to her.
'Linda'
'stay away from me Henry Joseph'
'you are still my wife'
'being your wife is very horrible'
'give me a second chance'
She began to cry. That job was the last stroke
'was the job so important to you?'
'yeah'
'then it's yours but please don't leave me. I won't be able to bear it. You mean so much to me'
'it's too late'
'it's not. Give me a chance. Not because of Daisy but for the two of us. Give me a second chance to prove to you that i want you in my life'
'your harem?'
'you are more important than them'
she began crying again. She wished Henry was serious but deep down she knew he was not.
He kissed her passionately. Linda welcomed his kiss. What's imporant was the fact that they are here, alone and they need eachother. Tomorrow will take care of itself.

She opened her eyes and found him smiling at her.
