As long as you're paid what you're worth, you shouldn't care about what others earn. If a programmer has worked for a certain number of years, has so much experience under his belt, he has the right to become a consultant programmer. IMO, doctors are overhyped in Nigeria. Well, our leaders do not give a sh1t, so people can continue to die as long as they can afford to go abroad once they have a slight headache.

What did a senator read that his salary can foot the salaries of 25 professors of medicine


If people knew that the fight to aknswer consultant by other medically inclined professions is simply a ploy to assume power

Having another consultant In the hospital is the same as having two captains in a ship

I will not blame funke she is trying to sell her newspaper by writing such a demeaning article to the people who can elongate the line between life and death after GOD

I don't expect funke to understand because unlike her I have to read 3 courses (anatomy,physiology,biochemistry) which lasts for about 15 years in just 18 months and am expected to be better than the person that reads just one of the aforementioned courses and yet such a person wants to assume a post that that takes a doctor an average of 25years to reach


I won't blame funke because maybe in her world a footballer like Mikel can demand for the title of world best player just like messi and c ronaldo by just playing back pass


U claim its greed but I think its the right thing

If I should be in charge of your life in your weakest moments don't you think I should be financially emotionally and psychologically stable....


Do I blame funke and some professional jambites on naira land for their articles and comments respectively.....no I wont



Why don't you whole lot contest for the position of GOD who created the universe because we can give both to humans

I am not in support of a situation whereby patients are punished for the crime of others but till we as a country get it right by giving honour to whom it is due we can never make a head way

Am very sure the so called lab technician, can tell what result is positive for any ailment and a pharmacist can tell u what drug and what dosage u need to get cured....Every consultant just gives u a list of (lab technician's) test that decides which of the (pharmacist's) drugs to use..It make one wonder what they can really do without test and drugs..
None of the medical/health sector can survive without the other, Doctors should stop feeling too important joor

smithoo: Federal Govt and the state Govt should just terminate the employments of all striking doctors and pay everyone off. They should start fresh recruitment to fill these vacancies with good but strict condition of service. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. It might take a long time to fill those vacancies but at the end those vacancies will be filled. Being a medical doctor does not make you a good administrator. All our health institutions are been headed by medical doctors and most are in shambles. These people must be humbled else they will hold this nation to ransom. People lifes have been lost due this strike, can they bring those lifes back after the strike is called off. Terminate them and let see if some will not shift ground and begged to be recalled. LAGOS STATE under once tried it but it was resolved amicably. This time let it be total.

maclatunji: I do not blame the doctors, I blame the country's leadership. Policies are meant to guide the government on these issues, why should it allow itself be pushed around by healthcare workers from doctors to cleaners if it indeed knows what it is doing?
