WHY DO YORUBAS ALWAYS LOVE USING FIRST THIS AND THAT BUT ALL LIES....SO BEFORE THIS SO CALLED HOSPITAL WE NO GET DIALYSIS AND RENAL CENTER

FIRST KOR SECOND NII

Please face the writer with fact to prove him wrong .

The expression up there is not sufficient to prove him wrong until you come up with fact.

You dont like the Yoruba people to always claim the first but your leaders have not developed the balls to claim that position hence the Yoruba that you detest will still be claiming the first:

Below is the list of the first traceable to Yoruba that I know of:

1. The first University- U I;
2. The first secondary school- CMS Lagos;
3. First sky scrapper- Cocoa House;
4. First television station in Africa- NTA ( WNTV the)
5. First Stadium- Onikan Stadium
6. First International stadium- Liberty Stadium ( Now Obafemi Awolowo Stadium)
7. First regional University- University of Ife ( Now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife)
8. First Nobel Laurette in Africa- Prof Wole Soyinka;
9. First Woman to drive a car- Funmi Kuti;
10. First woman to own a car- Madam Tinubu
11. First Nigerian to win grammy Award (woman)- Sade Adu
12 first male Nigerian to win Grammy Award-Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel aka Seal;

etc.

I am tired of listing, they are as many as you can think of. It touches every sector, please deal with it.

Good development, but thereis nothing first about it.

If someone wakes up by 10am and looks around, he doesnt go ahead to proclaim first to wake up, others have already gone to work.

Coming from the Lagos State Govt and Fashola in particular, treatment there will be super expensive. Nothing is cheap under Fashola's Govt, if you don't believe me ask LASU Student. Great development by the way..

Lagos State Government, through Public
Private Partnership programme, yesterday officially
opened for public use, the first ultra modern
cardiac and renal centre
in sub Saharan Africa, at
Gbagada area of the state.

This is not to be celebrated!
Nigeria doesn't have enough hospitals, and LASG is building a subset of a hospital to focus only on the kidneys and the heart.
LASUTH, a Specialist center, already has cardiology and nephrology units that are underfunded and poorly-equipped.
And the use of the word "first" is misleading.
UNTH performed the first heart surgery and is reputed to be the center of cardiothoracic excellence
OAUTHC has a best-of-the-pack cardiology unit
AKTH has dialysis machines numbering in hundreds, and offers Kidney transplant surgeries.

So, what exactly is "first" about this "achievement".. I'd like to know.

Smartsyn: I guess this is for "ordinary " Nigerians, "extraordinary "Nigerians will still be traveling out .

At least "ordinary nigerians" now have hope. That is all we want. Not for dem not to have hope here nor there( oyinbo land) due to lack of funds

Post images, please. I would like to see how clean and advanced it looks. I think is is not one of those mediocre hospitals in many corners of Lagos.

Can't you read? Is a Cardiothoratic Center the same as a Cardiac and Renal Centre? Didn't you see the 'and' as well as the fact that it is coming under one roof? I guess you are either an illiterate or just blinded by hate.
The learned one that doesn't know almost all teaching hospitals in Nigeria have dialysis machines and CT. From all he listed above, there is nothing new to make it the first in Nigeria. I guess Google can educate you more cos it seems you are 200late. And hey mate its "cardiothoracic" not "cardiothoratic". Thank me later.

I hope they run it like it should be a hospital. Let us pray it is not going to be a slaughter house for hopeless poor Nigerians. Imagine when NMA goes on strike more than PHCN of blessed memory takes light. It should have been PPP(Private Private Partnership) That inclusion of Public brings in TInubu equation. That means its gonna cost an arm and an eye to get treated there. embarassed cry lipsrsealed

n

when you say south west,pls,biko,ejoor remove lagos, cos it was developed by fedral government using oil and other proceeds from other region, lagos is a collective effort just like abuja, if you want to talk about SOUTH WEST CALL PLACES LIKE OSHOGBO,IBADAN,ILESA,EKITI,IFE (WITH THEIR LIES IN HISTORY) and tell me if these places can be compared to calabar,port harcourt,enugu,owerri,onitsha,uyo,awka,onne etc.

So stop lies ...oblong heads

AprilTwo: How do I get there from Ikeja G.R.A? Anyone?
I was able to Locate the Hospital easily.. Thanks to Google Map. I went there today and was told they've not started operation. Due to strike I guess. If anyone visiting, just hold your 500Naira for Card and Registration.
