Isis vow to BOMB 2022 World Cup in Qatar in chilling letter to Fifa

JIHADI rebel group Isis have vowed to BOMB the 2022 World Cup in Qatar unless Fifa takes the tournament away from the Gulf state.

In a letter sent to Fifa President Sepp Blatter the group, who have conquered large swathes of Iraq and Syria, warn "there will be no World Cup in Qatar" as it will soon be part of the Islamic Caliphate.

And the militant group have told Fifa if it does not change the World Cup's venue they will launch long-range Scud missiles at Qatari stadiums.

The letter, addressed to "Dear Joseph" (Blatter's first name), says: "We had sent a message to you back in 2010, when you decided... to have the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. “We declare that there will be no World Cup in Qatar”

"Now, after the establishment of the Caliphate state, we declare that there will be no World Cup in Qatar since Qatar will be part of the Caliphate under the rule of the Caliph Ibrahim Bin Awad Alqarshi who doesn't allow corruption and diversion from Islam in the land of of the Muslims.

"This why we suggest that you will decide upon a replacement country instead of Qatar.

"The Islamic state has long-range Scud missiles that can easily reach Qatar, as the Americans already know.

The dreaded group has already taken control of large parts of Iraq and Syria

Fifa President Sepp Blatter was mentioned in the letter from the jihadist group.

The letter was posted on an Isis Internet forum before being published in an Egyptian newspaper.

Earlier this month Isis, now known as the Islamic State, paraded a long-range missile through the streets of Syria.

The group has also taken control of a former chemical weapons facility in Baghdad.

The complex, in the north-west of the Iraqi capital, was reportedly storing over 2,000 degraded chemical rockets filled with sarin gas, a deadly nerve agent.

The 2022 World Cup has been plagued by difficulties ever since Qatar was awarded the tournament four years ago.

As well as allegations of corruption and bribery the tournament may become the first winter World Cup due to the intense temperatures experienced during Qatari summer.

Hundreds of Nepalese migrant workers have also died while working on building sites linked to the World Cup with fears the death toll could hit 4,000 by the time the World Cup takes place.

Last month Blatter, 78, said allegations surrounding the tournament were motivated by racism.

"There is a sort of storm against Fifa relating to the Qatar World Cup," Fifa's President said.
