The action while on TV from the first kick off on June 12 to the last by Messi on July 13, the tournament brought with it, aesthetic feelings and unforgettable memories.

Germany won to the knowledge of everyone, but they didn’t just win the trophy, they also shattered records and achievements; Joachim Leow and his boys were spectacular.

Miroslav Klose’s new World Cup goals record of 16 is just one that would take editions of the World Cup before a new one will be set; satirically, that record belonged to aGerman Gerd Muller. Beside Klose’s records, the 2014 FIFA statistically is the only World Cup with numerous records; both good and bad.

*The final is the second to be won in the extra time after South Africa 2010 edition where Andres Iniesta a Dutch hope for the first World Cup win

*Klose became the first player to score in four consecutive World Cups

*Colombia’s James Rodriguez became the first player to score in his five appearances at a particular World Cup since 1978

*Five own goals were scored at Brazil 2014, one short of the highest ever World Cup with own goals; France 98 (6)

*Brazil 2014 now equals France 98 in the highest goals scored at a single World Cup (171) with Germany sharing a larger portion of it (18) to become the team that scored the most team goals in the World Cup.

*Tim Cahill made it a three straight World Cup appearances where he scored.

*A new African World Cup all time goals record was set with Asamoah Gyan’s 6, beating Roger Milla’s 5 goals

*North Africans made the record as the first African team to score three four goals at the World Cup

*Nigeria earned its first World Cup victory since France 98

*Japan’s Keisuke Honda became the first Japanese to score in two different World Cups

*Switzerland’s Xherdan Shaqiri scored the 50 hat-trick in World Cup history

*Brazil set the record for worst host, conceding 10 goals in two matches

*Roger Milla’s record of being the oldest player (42) at the World Cup, set at USA 94 was broken by Colombian Faryd Mondragon (43) when he came on against Japan.

*American goalkeeper Tim Howard set a new record of the highest number of saves (15) in his teams defeat to Belgium at the last 16 stage.

*For the first time in World Cup history, all Group winners played the quarter finals stage.

*In Brazil 2014, Ghana at their third World Cup appearance, lost out, leaving Germany, Holland as the only teams never to be evicted in the group stage.

*With the last substitution against Brazil, Holland became the first team to use all its 23 players in a World Cup

*England recorded its worst World Cup performance in history

*England's Luke Shaw was the youngest player at 18

*Spain recorded the worst loosing World Cup margin by a defending champion

*Neymar scored the 100th goal of the FIFA World Cup in Brazil’s 100th World Cup game

*Cameroon's Alex Song earned his country's third World Cup red card, adding to uncle Rigobert Song's previous 2
