This is what happened to me two days ago..I have formatted my HP system, Window 8 version just now but the problem still persist.In this case,Any headway to re-enable "ESC" key work again?

I guess a "malicious program" must have accidentally disabled it without my knowledge upon the fact that iDo have Norton security installed on my window 8. Every other button is working save "esc" button and I have practically carried out few steps I saw on Microsoft forum but nothing seems to work.I am literally exasperated by this.
Has anyone encountered this same problem before?
