Real Madrid star striker Cristiano Ronaldo has confessed that he does not have tattoos in order to be able to donate blood, which he does twice a year.


The Portuguese, know over his active participation in charity projects, revealed that to continue blood donation he needs to avoid ink on his body, 360nobs.com reports.

He was quoted saying in an interview by Diretta News:

"I don’t have tattoos because I donate blood very often.

It is worth mentioning that this precaution is taken by medics against the possible cross-contamination and diseases like hepatitis.

Having a tattoo is a thing of choice. Having a tattoo doesn't make someone LESS of a man, neither does not having a tattoo make someone a REAL man. People draw tattoo for many reasons. Some for fashion, some based on a course they believe in, some write the names of their loved ones, etc. I really don't see any big deal in that... Just as some men piece their ears, some have dreadlocks on their head, some carry crazy hair styles.... Whatever works for u. Most entertainers have one thing or the other going for them. Ronaldo spends lots of time dressing his hair, lavezzi and boateng spend time at the tattoo parlor... All na same.
