The United Cement Company of Nigeria Ltd. (UniCem) is a private limited company whose core business is the manufacture and supply of high quality cement to our core markets of the South-South and South-East regions of Nigeria.

We are a relatively young company, having been established in 2002 after acquiring the assets of Calcemco. On establishing UniCem, a greenfield cement manufacturing plant was constructed at Mfamosing, north-east of Calabar. UniCem has its head office based in Calabar and all cement manufacturing operations have been consolidated at the Mfamosing plant, north-east of Calabar. The Mfamosing plant, a modern production facility with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons was formally commissioned in May 2009 by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Umarau Musa Yar’Adua .

In 2012, UniCem extended its product line up and currently offers customers the option of two brands of cement catering for general purpose and the construction industry respectively.

Within Cross River State, UniCem is one of the major industrial developments. Not only do we contribute significantly towards the economy of the state, our commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility within the state is unparalleled and the company continues to receive an ever increasing amount of recognition in this regard.

Required Qualification:
Graduates in the following Engineering/Science fields:
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Analytical or Industrial Chemistry
Minimum of Second Class lower division
Must not be older than 26 years
Must have completed NYSC programme

Required Skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Good numerical skills
Positive attitude
