tolutweety:

I agree with you completely. The fact that he isn't scoring or providing assists for FPL managers doesn't rule out his contribution to the team.He was at his brilliant best in today's match, and save for the 2 assists of cesc to costa,I would have rated him higher compared to the latter.

He s just like Silva in mancity @d moment, not scoring or providing assists, yet, his presence can't but be felt.

Mourinho won't want to do without him...believe me!
FPL managers can decide to trade him off thou
..the choice is ours.

Um...isn't the fantasy league why we're here? For all I care, Chelsea can lose, make Hazard just bring in the points for me. cheesy

14pts on the bench from 2 defenders that cost me 4M each while my 3 expensive defenders gave me only 3pts. God dey!

Thank God I didnt fall into the temptation of taking 4pts hit to replace Mata with Sterling....

Skywalker has just been made to swim in the lagoon of brutality... I mean, we have never had it so easy so be brutal with 57pts difference.

Next, we need to deal with some guys who love to do po.rn more than playing ball.

AirborneLacer: Seems like no Arsenal fan captained Costa.

So much for going with sentiment grin cheesy grin

Nairaland Fantasy Tabloid

Nairaland Fantasy-League records an all-time high
It was a week of high points as over 70% of fantasy managers made over 50points. For the first time in as many weeks, the FPL average stood at 52points and saw teams hitting an all time high of over 70/80 points in a single week fixture. This feat is not unconnected to the wonderful performance of Diego Costa who is owned by over 54% of managers. The usual performers also delivered the goodies with the new comer, Di Maria adding to the list of top performing players for the week.

Intelligesia maintained the top-spot and is being joined at the first position by SwagLord who pioneered his team SwagFC from 4th position to 1st.
Ijesha Warriors compensated for last week slide by hitting a massive 80points and jumped 13 places from 17th position to 4th position.

Az finally launched back into 22nd position after his struggles at the 50th position and his previous place was taken by AirboneLasers who are witnessing firstpage for the first time.

LagosFC slipped from 9th position to 32nd position and this goes to show how volatile the table really is. Who knows, after next week, we may see Chamokazzy Pornstars leap from 70th to 1st position.

Amidst the high points being returned by most managers, some still had a terrible outing.
Dreamcrushers FC crushed their own dreams with a miserly 38 points and remain condemned at the foot of the 3rd page table. Memory fc is still having Ahzeimer's disease as his lost of memory has rooted him at the bottom of the nairaland league table.

OsvaldoGang wins the manager of the week

With the right choice of captain and a blend of fine performing defenders, OsvaldoGang wins this weeks prestigious Nairaland manager of the week award. The team returned an impressive 87 points, winning his h2h away fixture while demolishing their opponents with an impressive 34 points margin to move to 8th position at the Conference cup and 19th position at the Premier league. With such an impressive outing, the team remains one to be on the lookout for.

Flop of the Week: Chelsea
When choosing a team name, many managers pick intimidating names to make them look larger than life and intimidate their opponents. We have names like Lanister Lions, knight walkers, Pharoh's Army, Red mambers and mykaliz destroyers. Our flop of the weak, Chelsea aimed at imitating the blues with their fearsome and intimidating squad: ironically, he managed 8 points for the week! Who assembles a team of 11 players that returns 8pts?

Pick of the week: Disvirginators got disvirgined!
Only girls will tell how weird it feels loosing one's virginity, but sun of a beach had a first-hand experience this week and can even compose a song about it. The ever lively manager felt staying on the top was his birth-right and decided to opt for more adventure when he handed Baloteli the armband. It happened to be a miscalculation as the italian mafia shot blank! It was a free-fall galore down the table and we all hope he didn't break his spine during the fall.
The drama provided comic relief for some managers who are already feeling the pressure of playing catch-up. When our camera crew caught up with the manager, he had this to say:

ritchboy: The way ninjas were celebrating Disvirginators' downfall I thunk I'd be chilling with them on page 2 sef. Just 32 points off my "default" spot... cheesy

#donthate

Such confidence can only come from a manager who knows his onions and is experienced in the game. No doubts the Disvirginators will be back; but no one knows if they will be back in a wheelchair or with clutches.

He was not alone in the captain goofs! Lailaboy's shinigami x FC had a worse day as Sterlin returned 2 points with the armband. Its obvious the manager will be cursing the day he bought the imp.

League Leaders

FA Cup
Intelligesia. Win: 4, Pts: 12, +261

Carling Cup
Larrisa Rovers. Win: 4, Pts: 12, +242

Conference
SwagFC. Win: 4, Pts: 12, +261

Who wears the armband?

With Gmwk5 fast approaching, the question on every manager's mind will most likely be who will wear the armband! Choice of captain will make or mar most managers as witnessed this gmweek.

It is obvious that over 50% managers have Diego Costa in their team as he is the highest owned player. Its also certain that 90% of active nairaland managers have him in their team. With chelsea playing away at the Etihad, it will take a bold manager to hand him the captain armband, despite Mancity's shitty defense; are you that bold manager?

When some of us were almost in tears as Costa bagged 17pts, Wayne Rooney was there to console us with 10. It couldn't equal Costa's record, but it was a better consolation. With United playing away at Leicester who managed a clean-sheet away from home last week, will Rooney provide us with another brilliance performance?

We saw a spark of Lukaku last week with an impressive away goal. Everton is hosting Palace this gmweek and the Belgian may once again hit the top form we all saw him last season. Are you ready to take that huge step?

Aguero is having a slow start this season, but that doesn't undermine his brutal tendencies. Chelsea hasn't been air-tight at the back and if the citizens are going to crack the blues defense, one man is certain to do that: are you bold enough to hand the armband to him?

As we all hope to stay close to the leaders on top of the table before they break-away, I wish everyone of us a successful outing this week.

See you at the top
