Work starts. Then around midday, i open ETS booklet or Manhattan vocab and peep thru every 10/15mins. I know my brain is picking the words jejely. I stop when work full ground. Like dat on and off.

I close 6pm and join staff bus. I intentionally stopped driving. Coz driving in traffic after work is enervating. While the driver dey drive, i just sleep off, to relax my brain from the day's work. I get home and i use the remaining strength to read from 8:30 - 11:30pm.

This is what i do and its been working for me. I wish i started intensive prep weeks earlier. Its all good sha

Ah!! Bolded word "Energy sapping", learnt that recently with the Flashcard App . Thanks for the advise tho, basically it is to read consistently at any free time during the week then plan for weekends. I always feel I'm not doing enough.

Thanks a lot, between your advice and OGreene's I think the key is to get something in at any free time. No I haven't picked a test date yet, will pick one at the end of December, I intend writing sometime in January.

- Schedule to memorise the GRE vocabs any chance you get during the day. During breaks, while waiting in line, on the bus, in your spare time. >> A GRE Vocab app will be appropriate for this.
- I honestly believe you might have to be resting immediately you return from work, with the condition that you wake up later in the night.>> To work Quant problems, review your mistakes and make sure you don't make the same mistake twice.
- Also, set aside some few hours on weekends to review what you've done during the week. Resist the urge to keep cramming in new material every new week. You've a better chance of retention and application, if you take out time to retreat and review what you've learnt in the outgoing week; for the Vocabs, Quant concepts, and the mistakes you made.

Is this a funded MSc? And does LSU mean Louisiana State Uni? If yes, then congrats again. Louisiana has a good record for oil company placement whenever the oil industry is good.

Yeah, great summary! I wish you the best. No problem with a Jan test date, since by Dec ending, you'd be in a better position to know if to write or get a few more weeks.

Hi, I did mine there, sometime late 2015. It was N25k then. Budget N30k now. Just go there with two passport photographs and birth certificate. Approach any of the officers, so he can show you what you need to do, in a faster way, and how to get everything done in time.

Hmm, that's a valid reason then.

Good luck . Please share your experience and strategies with us
after your test.
Tips:
1. Eat light before you leave, I would recommend cereal. You can also
go with snack so you can eat something during your break.
2. Make sure you go with your international passport. Do not arrive too early especially if you
are always nervous like me before a major test.
3. Make sure you use the rest room before the test start. If you have to during the test, it can
either destabilize you or waste part of your time.
4. Try to de-stress if you have any relieving pastime tonight till you write the test. Some like
yoga, others just listen to nice music.
