Few weeks after a Redeemer University Student was arrested for killing own father, another undergraduate student has been accused of taking the life of his own father.

The 27-year-old undergraduate ofMadonna University, Okija, Anambra State, Chijiioke Ezebuiro , had been arrested by the Abia State Police Command for allegedly killing his 87-year old father, Dr. Emmanuel Ezebuiro.

The suspect was said to be the only one at home when his father was brutally murdered. Police preliminary investigations showed that there was no evidence of forced entry into their house where the incident took place.

According to police, the elder brother of the suspect had taken his children to school, leaving their bed-ridden father in the hands of the suspect. But upon return, the elder brother met their father in a pool of blood.

Suspecting foul play the elder brother alerted the police alleging that the suspect, Chijioke had threatened their father’s life a number of times.

The suspect has denied any involvement in the crime and also denied threatening his father’s life at any time, claiming he had maintained a very warm relationship with him.
