Prof. Abdul Ganiyu Ambali, the UNILORIN VC has
stated that out of 105,00 candidates applying at
the institution, only 9,000 will be admitted. This is
a relatively poor number, but the institution can’t
go beyond that due to the carrying capacity at
hand.
He further disclosed to journalists on Sunday while
speaking with them that UNILORIN is the most
sought after school in Nigeria followed by
UNIVERSITY OF BENIN, UNIBEN.
The VC identified accommodation as a major
challenge of the
institution, as he stated that though the university
has currently about 30,000 students, it could
provide admission for only about 3,000 of the
students.
