Throughout human history,from pre-historic period down to modern era,human being has been credited as been the most rational,distinctive,intelligent,discerning and superior to other creatures on earth.

My Question:

With all aforementioned outstanding attributes then how come some human being (even the highly educated) belief in this terrorists' irrational and akward philosphy?
