From late Thursday till today, Saturday there has been stable power supply in major towns in Osun State. While the cause of this may not be hastily concluded to mean because of the President's visit of the state, as the state is known to have stable power to some extent, rationing which is sometimes resorted to has surprisingly given way to stable supply in all parts. The completion of the NIPP sub-station in Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife that is supposed to improve the power in the town and its environs was deliberately built as a means of campaign by the PDP. In 2010 when a similar project like it was started, it was put on a halt and all the electric poles installed were pulled when the tribunal sitting in Ibadan sacked the ex-governor of the state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, thereby putting on hold Iyiola Omisore's bid to fly PDP flag in the 2011 governorship election. The project was being used as a campaign tool by the then senator.
