Kim Kardashian took to Instagra— sorry, wait, we’re just getting a memo. ALRIGHT, LET’S START OVER: Someone we’ve never heard of called ‘Kim West’ took to Instagram last night to share her latest passport photo, confirming that she was changing her name from ‘Kim Kardashian’. God, this is just like Cheryl Fernandez-Versini all over again.


Anyway, last night Kim [INSERT SURNAME HERE] graced Instagram with an insanely glam shot of her — all eyebrows, pout and cleavage — along with the caption, “New passport pic #Mrs.West #NameChange”. Here’s what we can gather from the information presented :


i. Kim still hasn’t figured out that if you put punctuation in a hashtag then it defaults to just the characters before the punctuation mark and so she has not tagged this photo into the wider pool of Instagram images marked ‘MrsWest’ and has instead just tagged it ‘Mrs’. Come on, Kim. Social Media 101.


ii. Kim is changing her name from Kim Kardashian to her married name, Kim West — or at least she is on her passport, anyway. Hell will literally freeze over before she drops ‘Kardashian’ from her professional name, because why would you do that.


iii. The regulations for passport photos in the US are wildly different from the UK because we personally got a passport photo rejected twice because the dude at Snappy Snaps was using too much flash and look, here you can actually see some of Kim’s actual boob. This feels illegal, somehow. Regulation-flouting, at least.


iv. Even Kim wasn’t hugely confident she’d make it past the dreaded 72 days of marriage, seeing as she waited until Day 74 to fill out her passport renewal form #makeuthink
