There is a gift given by God
Which is required for those in the mud
Sin and death held me captive
Lies and theft showed I was creative

I was a true enemy of the father
Fighting His words with so much laughter
I could have thought about my folly
Wake up from my slumber and become holy

But I chose to be naughty
Even nosy, foolish and haughty
But when the Sun shined on me
I could behold what I didn't see

I saw the Wind flow in my direction
Telling me of God's love for every nation
What peace came upon my heart
When I knew all over again I could start

I looked at His face with unbelief
But my spirit received awesome relief
Then I shouted 'Lord Jesus, help me'
He replied 'Just believe, then i'll save thee'

I pushed away all my fiery doubts
I decided to learn what God was all about
His mercy has so richly reached me
His grace has made me what I should be

Jesus the lover of my soul
Your blood has made my spirit whole
Who can reject a gift so freely given
And believe he'll keep on living

It is as sweet as the honey in the honey comb
It is powerful to raise up corpses from the tomb
May It be given to those that desire It
Who have repented and are on their feet
To follow Jesus wherever he leads
Till He changes our vile body, as His word reads
