Psalm 116:17
"17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord."

People give thanksgiving offering for different reasons
1. For Continuous Blessing. Ephesians 5:20
It may seem very bad, as if God has forgotten us, but it is for good reason.
2. We thank him for making us partakers of the inheritance of saints. Colossians 1:12-13, Acts 26:18, John 14:12-15.
3. Thanking him because he is God. Rev 4:9-11
We should learn to appreciate God for been God, we should weigh our selves and you are appreciated to an extent, even if that person is a wayward son and his father appreciates him, won't that boy take appraisal of him self? He will take appraisal of himself and even weigh himself to be able to re-adjust for correction. How much more we appreciating God?

Sacrifice of Thanksgiving.
Sacrifice: Is an act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in other to get or do something else.
We should always want sacrifice things to the Church, Community.
We should sacrifice out time, Finances, Skill. We need to give sacrifices to God, even when we don't have a challenge. Just keep on sowing.

David as we all know in the Bible was always after God. God placed him in a place where many other people could not get to. God even made a covenant with him because David sort after God.
But what of his sacrificial giving? David wanted to make an offering to God "2 Samuel 24:24: Says he wont give God what wont cost him anything".

Most of the time we spend a lot spending on entertain ourselves, making out children happy and we then give change (little) unto God. If we learn that we need to give God something that will cost us something, How great we will be.

Above all, God sacrificed his son just for the love he has for us. John 3:16

It is important that we key into the supreme sacrifice of over 2000years ago, where God sacrificed his only Son Just for us to be eternally saved.
It is useless sacrificing everything you have only to reap earthly things alone. Matthew 16:24 "What good will it be for someone to gain the world and loose his soul?"
