CFCfan: The Nigerian quartet of Oghene Egwero, Mozavdous Edwards, Mark Jelks and Obinna Metu won the GOLD in 38.80 seconds.

The Ghanaians took the silver with a time of 39.28 seconds, whilst the Algerians took the bronze in 39.89 seconds.

Nigeria have now won 5 GOLD medals.

The timing shows that Ghana came before us but still took second position.

Err.. The 'lower' time is actually the faster time in Athletics, so the Nigerians were quicker than the Ghanaians

Ghana is not perfect, infact to be human is to be imperfect, so I don't expect any country to be perfect.

I am just letting you know some of the differences I notice about Ghanaians and Nigerians pertaining to greatness. Since Nigeria is big they equate being great in the sense of quantity Ghana on the other hand equate greatness on the quality of what u have.
right. America is also big in quantity lol

The point I was trying to make is Nigeria put emphasis on quantity, u equate greatness with quantity while we Ghanaians put emphasis on quality.

A Nigerian will say we produce the most movies in Africa and a Ghanaian will reply with but our quality is better. A nigerian will say we produce more electricity than Ghana but a Ghanaian will at least our light can stay on for more than two hours. A nigerian will say we have more universities and Ghanaian will but we have better schools. Nigerian will say nigeria is bigger richer than Ghana but a Ghanaian will say the average Ghanaian has better life.

It's about quality and not quantity.
How does the average Ghanaian "have better life"? Half your country is not even connected to the national grid, poverty is rife, and you're only a tiny population of 25 million whose material problems should have been solved ages ago. You hold the continent's second largest gold reserves after SA. Largest cocoa exporter on earth. Now also an oil and gas producer. What the hell happened to all that money? You guys should be like Kuwait. That you are even comparing your quality of life to Nigeria's with its 170 million people shows you've failed as a country so far. Does the average Kuwaiti compare himself with an Iranian or Turk? Nope...

First let's get something straight 72% of Ghanaians are connected to the national grid,
And only 42% of Nigerians are connected to the national grid. While Ghana targets 100^ by 2020, Nigeria targets 75% by 2020. Let's get that straight first.

Ghana should be doing a whole lot better so should Nigeria when we compare Nigeria with countries of the same pop and size Nigeria is far behind. This argument is about Nigeria and Ghana hence the reason I brought up the stats.

Bro..sincerely .its tiring trying to correct people on their facts and statistics about ghana. Lot of people in their hearts have already zeroed ghana. So they will tolerate any wrong info about the country without researching.

Alright enough of the e-bashing lets not derail this thread any further. Both countries are unique in their own way with perculiar problems.

I hope our boys bring more Gold in other events. That guy wey run the final lap! Funny.
