[quote author=PassingShot]When fees were increased we complained.

When fees have now been reduced some are still moaning that it's because of 2015.

Tell me, if 2015 is not enough reason to implement good programs what should be then? Afterall we're talking of already "performing governors" and not those who have been known to be stealing their states blind.

If all governors act well in the name of coming elections I think Nigeria will be better for it. It will mark a clear deviation from the past where all they needed to win is distributing bags of rice, sugar and cooking oil plus cash to the already pauperized electorates.

To me this is a better

.....so waiting for election period to throw some crumbs of gestures at d masses is ideal abi?...u have psychiatric tendencies

APC! APC!! APC!!!. The issue of fees hike in lagos state varsity has been on for abt 2yrs nw. It is nw dat elction is around the corner dat Fashola deems it feet to reverse it to its initial position. Aregbeshola did the same thing at d eve of the election in Osun after been in power for 4yrs and very aware of the plight of the students. Now kwara state Governor Ahmed ABdul have followed suit.. I hope we are not ignorant of this Political strategy..

To me this is a better and welcome development.

I prefer a government that has a plan they believe to be foolproof. A government that will implement those policies and see it to the end.

Not a government that is seemingly indecisive on what routes and paths it should take to improve the lives of the people.

A good leader should be steadfast. And his policies should never be "try your luck" policies.

Slash school fees........2015 stunt.
It's better politicians don't do anything a year before election so as not to be seen as campaign strategy. People can never be satisfied. Politicians have being winning elections without school fees redution since 1832. SMH.

awarded indeed! When indigenes still pay #109, 500 minus accomodation charges, departmental charges etc....They will go to the media and start selling lies...kwasu reduces fees ma foot!
Re: Kwara Reduces All State-owned Tertiary Institutions' School Fees by Horlawoomey(m): 8:48am On Aug 16, 2014
This is true, my younger brother benefited from the reduction, but the school fees is still on the high side, imagine an indigene of Kwara paying more than #165,000 plus accomodation fees.

Clearly it is the ideal situation to have and one which all will prefer.

However, our democracy has not evolved to that level and we are stuck with choosing between two evils.

I'm a student in that school and this is just to make people feel like they've done something great. Imagine
basic tuition fees: 99500
Guidance and counseling: 5000
Lab fees(micro/bio/ich): 25000
Lab fees (medical lab students) 150000
And the Goddamn list is endless, so this is what they did, they included these useless fees and make people pay, then revert and start screaming they've reduced school fess too, ode gbogbo.

What they didn't do in three and half years of their administration, they'll want to do in the final lap for obvious reasons.. undecided

Come to think of it; this is the best time for the citizens, to make demand off their governor or threaten not to play ball in 2015lipsrsealed
