What did you want to be when you grew up?

If you think back to when you were a child maybe you had dreams of being an astronaut or a dancer. Although your dreams may have changed over time, as children we're encouraged to dream and to dream big. Then we grow up, get to a certain age and instead people start telling us we need to be realistic.
Many people give up on their dreams

It's a sad reality that the world is full of people who have stopped listening to themselves, and listen only to other people to learn what they should do with their life. This is often why people stop dreaming and stop believing that they can get what they truly want in life. Many people live their lives on auto-pilot, letting life happen to them.
The power of belief changes everything

It comes down to a big thing called belief. The difference between average and elite performers is rarely skill. It's almost always mindset. We all have a set of core beliefs that we have about ourselves and what we can accomplish. Often these beliefs need to be changed.
Take small steps towards your dream

Small steps are what it takes to get you where you want to go. If you start progressing towards your dream you will slowly change your mindset around what is possible. You will start to believe you can get what you want in life. What we do today impacts how our life will be days, months and years from now. You don't have to build an entire wall today, you just have to lay one perfect brick.
Don't let the fear of failure stop you


Too many people don't attempt to reach their dreams because they are afraid of the possibility of failure. However, many people recover from failures, but regret is something that never goes away. Don't die with your dreams still inside of you.

Take two pieces of paper and a pen. Ask yourself two questions: what kind of person do I want to be and what do I want to achieve in my life? Write down the answers. Do your answers match your life, in this moment? If not, take small steps today to make sure you are heading in the right direction. It begins with one step.
Everyone has greatness within them

The real tragedy is that most people die without having tapped into their greatness. You have something to offer this world that no one else can or will ever be able to offer. Your experiences have made you the person you are, there's no one like you. If you don't choose to live a life of purpose it's not just going to be you that misses out, all the people that you could have impacted will also miss out.
