Our Company is a wholly indigenous company engaged in the manufacture and production of commercial steel related products including mild steel pipes, galvanized pipes, wire gauze, welded mesh and barbed wire. Our company has set up an ultramodern factory located in Agbara, Ogun State, fully equipped with automated plants and equipment to produce high quality steel products using the best international Health and Safety and Quality Control practices.

We are looking to engage the services of an Operations Manager for our factory, overseeing its production activities, general operations and day to day management. The Operations Manager will have managerial responsibilities for the operations of the factory conducted under limited supervision. The incumbent shall be accountable for the entire operation of the factory and maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring the manufacture of quality products delivered in accordance with the budget, on or ahead of schedule.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Manage overall operations of the factory by offering technical and commercial leadership;
• Oversee all aspects of production, factory management including manpower & material planning, process optimization and adoption of industry best practices.
• Prepare five-year long-term strategic plan and be responsible for achieving top and bottom lines as well as growth set by the executive management
• Prepare proposals including profit projections, risk analysis and risk avoidance recommendations.
• Conduct periodical production review meetings, prepare MIS & performance report for executive management.
• Implement factory maintenance program covering preventive, shut down & predictive maintenance of all factory equipment and machineries to achieve maximum utilization of production capacities.
• Propose improvement schemes for enhancing current production processes, control wastes, minimize reworks & defects and maintain high quality standards as demanded by the clients.
• Drive cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement projects in Continuous Improvement manufacturing and appropriate quality standards/certifications.
• Supervise the timely and accurate reporting of labor and production data. Monitor labor and expense budgets and institute necessary cost controls to meet company’s profit goal.
• Standardize an appropriate organizational structure for the factory to enhance efficiency and develop roles and responsibilities for all employees in conjunction with the Human Resources Department
• To interact and engage with external parties / customers in order to enhance the reputation of the company and facilitate the growth of the business
• Other related duties as assigned by the Managing Director/CEO.
SKILLS
• Possess technical proficiency as well as a business acumen & commercial judgment.
• Strategic mindset & long term vision capabilities.
• Capable of problem solving, decision making and failure analysis.
• A self-motivated leader & a team player.
• Must be abreast with modern production technology and new developments in the industry.
• Exceptional inter-personal & communication skills (both verbal & written), including negotiating, persuasive and presentation skills
• Excellent marketing skills and business sense for achieving results
• Practical application Operations, Strategic Management and Finance, in the day to day business.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• HND/BSC or B.Tech in Engineering or Production
• 5-10 years’ experience along-with a proven managerial ability in business
• Knowledge and experience in the steel manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Additional education may include specialized trainings, professional certifications, workshops and seminars relevant to the industry.
• Short and long term planning experience in production operations.
• Member of Nigerian Society of Engineers
• COREN will be an added advantage

2. FINANCE MANAGER/CONTROLLER

Responsibilities and Duties
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance of accounting policies and procedures in all the company
• Supervision of the company’s Accountants and facilitating effectiveness in work delivery
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly treasury report, pointing out observations and recommendations as deemed fit
• Provision of financial advice necessary for business decisions
• Advise management on best practices in accordance with all applicable legislations and regulatory guidelines
• Analysis of historical data to provide guidelines on future activities
• Liaising with regulatory and government agencies on finance and compliance issues
• Liaising and working with external auditors
• Supervise internal auditor’s task and assign responsibility as and when necessary
• Collation of budget data from various departments
• Review of companies accounts with the aim of ensuring compliance with budget
• Preparation of budget and variance analysis reports
• Computation of financial ratios and business analysis data
• Preparation of Project Reports detailing their costs and associated revenue on each project
• Generation of routine management reports to monitor group activities
• Oversee the daily accounting activities (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliation, account statement reconciliation, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.).
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and review general ledger and inter- company reconciliation on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting.
• Any other functions that may assist in realization of the company goals as it relates to finance and accounts.





QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• BSC/HND in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 6 - 10 years’ experience preferably in a similar role.
• Fully qualified ICAN, ACA/ACCA with previous financial control and management reporting experience
• Ambitious and self-driven with proven commercial track record
• Strong team management skills
• Knowledge of NAVISION / ERP based accounting system.
• Ability for multitasking & knowledge of SAP, taxation & MIS is essential.

Must have valid FRSC and lagos state drivers institute licence,
Knowledge of lagos road is an added advantage
