Only Nigerians who have not left the shores of Nigeria, or those who just cross the boarder by foot to Cotonou would complain about flooded airports

In the history of flooding, has Enugu airport or any other airport in Nigeria ever flooded? Do you have data to show that the rains in Enugu this year is the highest? Rather than see things right we want to make comparisms with others. Compare nepa or hospitals in those same places.

Yeah flood is like terrorism, it is everywhere, lets seat and just live with it. Next time you will see a pothole on our road and compare it with earthquakes in California.

A blockage of the drain pipe during a heavy is enough to cause temporary flooding. Nothing is strange here.[/size]

Thank you

Which is easily escalated by the fact that airports are flat-terrained and so no slopiness to take away excess water if drainage is blocked.

Don't mind the stuuuuupid semi-illiterates on here

Free the guy. Don't waste your energy. Little rainfall and an airport, which they claim is a masterpiece gets flooded. Instead of questioning the quality of the job done by the contractors and the people who supervised or gave the job out, they go on a defensive mode, posting pictures of the consequence of perhaps a tsunami, undersea earthquake, or any one of those weather patterns that if present in Africa wouldn't just flood a place but completely obliterate the landscape and all that stand on it!!

We are indeed our greatest problem in this country.

Adelaide2: China airport flooded

Nice try, but this Chinese airport flood happened after nearly a week of torrential rainfall that killed 15 people and displaced nearly 3 million. It happened June this year and was a major emergency in South China.

Nice try for you to compare it with this small rain in Enugu cheesy

Since when did ordinary 'heavy rain' become a 'natural disaster'?

I'll accept Nigeria is moving forward if you can just demonstrate how we've moved forward in security, power generation, healthcare, education, oil bunkering..

In fact, we've retrogressed badly in Education, healthcare and security. We spend nearly 100bn Naira in Amnesty payments and settlements yearly, yet crude oil theft is at its highest levels in years. Despite all the hoopla, we've failed to reach a 25% increase in power generation from our prior maximum output and prosecution of the corrupt is at an all time low, with seemingly automatic amnesty from criminal prosecution granted to those who 'align' properly like Fani Kayode, Mohammed Abacha and the entire clique of fuel subsidy scammers (who have now been rewarded with fresh licenses to import fuel).

But hey, we've won the Nations Cup and Lagos-Benin road is being worked, so it's all good, right? Right? cheesy cheesy

Since you have no issues cherry-picking pictures, why should I not pick any picture I disagree with to tear your argument apart?

Cherry-picking what? Is there any of those pictures that is false? You want to tear an argument with 18 pictures apart using just 2 pictures? You are very laughable.

BTW, how do you know how much rain fell in Enugu? Did you measure it?

There is no need for us to lie to ourselves .We have several airports in Nigeria where we have the same rain as Enugu. Has any of them ever been flooded like this . Even for one day? All those Delhi and La Guardia are not relevant. Even when we had the worst flood in our National history last year or so Abuja airport did not flood PHC dey kampe. Lagos dey gidigba. Delta no shaking Benin nko. Abeg make we hear word.
