Willgates: Sponsored propaganda...that shithole isnt a stadium! Stop please . The Uyo Stadium can and will never replace the UJ Esuene stadium in Calabar as long as they keep maintaining it as they have done from 1976 when it was built till date . you can take that to the bank. they said the same thing about Uyo airport when it was being built people screamed that it will cripple the calabar airport, But today we all know the truth both airports are thriving. In fact when calabar airport was closed down for renovation every one in calabar were happy because they had a nearby airport at uyo that the easily utilized. The idea that A neighboring state developing infrastructure will cripple anothers infrastructure is a plain lie formulated by badbelle politicians to stop the nation from growing or use it as an excuse for not performing. Its a scaremongering tactic designed to frustrate development and it is not backed by facts. The Calabar, Uyo and the New Portharcourt stadia will rather complement one another, due to their proximity, they can cohost tourneys and also share best practices which will drive sports development in the area because of their excellent facilities. Evidence and data proves time and time again that Good infrastructures bring growth not regression contrary to what some mischievous Naija people who lack confidence or knowledge of data might want you to believe. My dream is that there will come a time in Nigeria that infrastructures such as airports, good sporting complex, seaport, universities etc will be projects that LGA and cities councils will be funding/building and not state government as it it in the developed climes. 3 Likes |

A stadium of 12000 capacity? As far as I'm concerned, that's a mini stadium . 1 Like |
