John 8:3-5 reads:
"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, 'Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery....Pause...

Can adultery be committed with one's self? Where is the man? Did he die or something? Why wasn't he brought forward?

Vs 5: "In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
The Law of Moses, is the Law of God, Christ came to uphold the law. Did the Law of God exempt a man who commits adultery?

Questions

1. Why exactly was the man not accounted for and brought forward? Is it safe to say God ordered only the women to be punished in such situations?

2. Bringing it back to our world today.....why is it not a big deal when men cheat? Could we truly say that by default God built in that attribute in all men?...Like they could choose to dwell on it or not, but by default all men are more likely to cheat than the female folks because God created them that way..because they were built in that pattern?
