Throughout Christaindom Various scholars and denominations has dig in with various calculations and speculations to tell what the Mark of the beast is. Many said it will be in form of a chip,cashless payment,and some says it will be literary physical 666. This Wisdom James describe and he said in James 3:15 "This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly,sensual,devilish" and it cannot understand d mysteries of d Mark of the Beast.
"Here is Wisdom,Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast:for it is the number of a man:and his number is Six hundred threescore and six" Rev 13:18 Emphasy laid on "understanding" means its not something to be literary understood but requires the Wisdom of God James 3:17.
To understand then what the mark is,we need to know how it is received.Rev 13:16 reveals righthand and forehead.How will it get to appear on d righthand and forehead?God gives a Solution to dis in d Bible.
Deut 11:18 says "Therefore yee shall lay up there my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your heart,that they may appear as frontlets between your eyes"
The Isrealite receives Gods word(teaching) into their hearts and it appears as a sign(mark)upon their hands and frontlet between their eyes(forehead).So whereve they go this teaching reflects who they worship nd who they are.So also the Mark of the beast will be a Teaching from Satan.But what kind of teaching will it be? Lets go in deeper to the Word of God.

"Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition" The teaching will be a Teaching of Rebelion thats the Mark of the Beast.Rebelion teaching is the mark of the Beast.And Rebelion means Falling away from.So what will he make Christains fall away from?Lets go in deeper
"And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams,shall be put to death: because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the Land of Egypt, and redeedmed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in"Deut 13:5. Deut 13:1-5 teaches that the man of sin will teach people to fall away from the commandment of God i.e the Ten commandment.
Further study of the Word of God reveals that the man of Sin shall attack the Holy convenant i.e Ten commandment Daniel 11:30 and those who keep the Holy convenant will not obey the man of sin and He will cause them to be slain Daniel 11:33,35 nd Rev 13:15.
