it is no longer news that Ebola has killed over 1500 of its victims since March that it was detected in Guinea, the effect of this disease has had huge Political, Economical and Social Cultural effect not just in west Africa but Africa has a whole and the world at large...already many international airlines had stopped operational flights to Liberia and Guinea, while Senegal, Ghana, Togo, Cameroon etc to mention a few had closed their borders...it was even reported that an Asian country had banned Kenya airways from flying to their country even when WHO has stressed repeatedly that the chances are low on aircraft besides most airport now screen passengers....but all these has fallen to deaf hears has nations continue to scrutinize passengers from the affected countries..
now to Sport....this has become a talking point....even on Soccer Africa ,...it was discussed and no conclusions made......Nigeria had to pull out of wold youth championship because our athletes were not allowed to train, Lesotho pulled out of the AYC, Ivory Coast have pulled out of their match with Sierra lone,,,Rwanda started and now congo has written to CAF to change the venue even when Nigeria has effectively contained Ebola and d venue is about 560km away from Lagos...DR Congo have also confirmed two new fresh cases....

what should CAF and FIFA do.....should all sporting activities be banned in africa or only the affected countries,,,,,

if all sporting activities are ban it will not stop at that because it will be a signal to ban and restrict business, foreign investment etc in the continent that depend heavily on importation....

if only the affected counties are banned....it will increase the trauma and hardship already experienced in Monrovia, Guinea and Nigeria............what becomes of the careers of these players and athletes, what of Nigerians, Guineans, Liberians in diaspora who comes for weekends and short break in their countries........

CAF and FIFA has to take a stand now because qualifiers have been fixed and AFCON is 5 months away,,,,,and it will be sad if the defending Champion is left out because of Ebola.........what is d way forward....

CAF should consider closed door games until further notice. The games should go on with no fans in attendance

All players and staff taking part in the games to be screened!
