This is a question that will remain debatable for years to come.Should it be:
1.George Weah:The Liberian is the only African to have won the World Best Player of the,that he won in 1995 while playing for Milan,a three times African player of the Year which he won in 1989,1994,1995.Weah spent fourteen years of his international career playing for clubs in Italy,France and England.As successful as he was for club,he was not able to bring that success to his national team.Failing to qualify for a single world cup and was one point short of qualifying for 2002 WC.
2.Samuel Eto'o:Eto'o scoced over hundred goals in five seasons while playing for Barcelona,and is also the record holder for the number of appearances made by an African player in Laliga.In 2010 he became the first player to win two continental treble following his back to back achievement with Barcelona and Inter Milan.He is the second player to have ever scored in two seperate UCL final.He has won the African Player of the Year a record four times in 2003,2004,2005,and 2010.He was third in FIFA World Player of the Year in 2005.As Camerounian,he was part of the team that won the Olympic gold medal in 2000.He has participated in three World cups and six AFCON(being champion twice) and is the all time leading goal scorer in AFCON with 18goals.
