To those who have had some kind of experience on this subject, please help with valuable insight on what the 'examiners' are looking for when they conduct swimming tests. Are they just looking to see you move in water? What is the general format and more importantly, How best can someone prepare for a Swimming test. You can also share your experience of any offshore related swimming tests you have experienced.thank you |

The swimming test 'm aware of is usually meant for those who want to work off shore, islands or places where you will encounter water in your line of work. Examples are the Oil companies. its basically to test your swimming skills should their be a need to save your life in the cause of a mishap. if not safe your self totally at least for the time being before help comes. No basic format than to see if you can save your life during an hazard and there is no special preaparation than to know how to swim. |
