A Hard Lesson From Turkey For Nigerians by Trailblazer1(m): 8:22pm On Sep 15, 2014 |
IS NIGERIA GOING THE WAY OF TURKEY? •Turkey is in the present day Europe and partly in Asia minor. •Apostle Paul was a citizen of Tukey because Tarsus exists in Turkey. •Christianity existed in Turkey for about 1,023 years while Christianity has only existed in Nigeria for 172yrs starting from when Rev. Birch Freeman came to Badagry in 1842. •The seven churches Jesus spoke to in Revelations 2&3(Ephesus,Smy rna,Laodicea,Philadelphia, etc)existed in the old Turkey. •The disciples were first called Christians in Turkey(Antioch) •Turkey once had the largest Christian auditorium in Europe called Hagia Sophia in Constantinople. •Mary the mother of Jesus was taken to Turkey by Apostle John and till date, her room has become a tourist centre. TURKEY TODAY •Present day Turkey now has 96% muslims&0.02% Christians(less than 130,000). •The Hagia Sophia(once largest church in Europe) was taken over by muslims and converted to a mosque for over 400yrs and later used as an Islamic Museum WHYCHRISTIANITY COLLAPSED IN TURKEY •Emphasis on doctrinal differences weakened the Turkish church. •Rivalries amongst denominations •Petty politics in church coupled with ethnic biase •The Turks were building big cathedrals instead of building men. HOW IT HAPPENED •Osman Ghazi discovered the disunity amongst Christians and used it to fight a Jihad that led to a mass genocide of the Armenians, the Hellen and Turks of that day. Infact, the weapon of war used was designed by a Turkish Christian. •Many Christian women converted to Islam to save their lives and some were raped. •Osman Ghazi started the Ottoman empire which gave muslims political post and made it a religion of the state. IS NIGERIA HEADING THE WAY OF TURKEY •Virtually all the mistakes the church in Turkey made, the Nigerian church has made it. •We are building Cathedrals at the expense of discipling men. •Disunity amongst churches •Ethnicity in the church •Denominational rivalry, etc. •Sharp division along doctrinal lines MORE FACTS •The spiritual foundation of Turkey is stronger than that of Nigeria and Christianity existed for over 1000yrs in Turkey unlike ours which is just 172yrs but Islam Radicalism uprooted it. If it can happen in Turkey, it can also happen IF we are not careful. •The menace of Boko Haram has destroyed a lot of churches in the north and it may take another 200yrs to evangelise Borno state alone. •There is a secret agenda to Islamize Nigeria&other African nations as contained in Abuja declaration of 1989. DON'T SAY IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE, IF WE DON'T RIGHT OUR WRONGS AS A CHURCH. SOLUTION •HEART-FELT Intercession •Aggressive evangelism- the terrorist reached out to the youths in the norths first and gave them AK-47 and bombs, if we had reached out to them on time, they'll be carrying BIBLES today. •Mission support:-God is holding the church responsible for Boko Haram, yet we are blaming the governement. If we had supported missions and missionaries, we would have those insurgents to Christ long ago. •Unity of the church is key in winning this battle. The last but not the least christians should be actively involve in politics. Enough of these muslims political office holder with islamic agenda ARISE CHURCH & LETS DO THE NEEDFUL 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Sorry, pals. Too late. With or without "secret plan" to islamize Nigeria, God's plan is that His religion, Islam will prevail over all rivals even if unbelievers hate it. God Almighty, (Allah, God of Abraham, Moses, Jacob, Ismail, Isaac, Jesus and Muhammad) already said in His Book, Qur'an that His Ummah,(Muslim community, regardless of race, nationality or ethnicity), the righteous shall inherit the earth. This statement doesn't mean violently taking over folks especially innocent ones. Rather, it means Islam will eventually prevail by Allah's Divine wisdom. BH are something completely opposite. That's political wing. As for Christianity in Turkey, believe it or not, that old form of Christianity is not what you Christians practice today. The form of Christianity which Muslims took over was orthodox-like which had its capital in Constantinople, christian Byzantine. The reformed like version of this old Christianity only exist majorly in Eastern Europe and middle east, perhaps. They still abide by old style dressings, and forbid what God forbids. They reject homosexual. That's why Muslims will prefer them to Christian West, which is western Europe and Americas. Africa and Caribbean. Western Christianity which Nigerian Christians embrace is the one that embraces homosexual and all types of vices, yet still claim to believe in Jesus. So for Op to claim relation with Christian Byzantine Turkey is really a big joke. Their Christianity is different from yours that permits what God forbids in the Bible. Christian Byzantine, now Eastern EU celebrate their Xmas around January 9th but Christian West (including Nigerians) celebrate a commercialized Xmas on the day devil was born. 1 Like |

That's political wing. My dear, you've made your point. Perhaps, you didn't read my post thoroughly before hastily sharing you part of history. There has been no islamization devoid of terrorism. Turkey is a case study, where people converted to Islam for fear of their lives. The same is currently happening in the Northeast. We say NO to conversion by Terror! |

That's political wing. There are certain truth in what you made mention of about the differences between the Christians from and east and west which are very correct, esp division in the church doctrines and support of what God condemns like homo sexuality in which it is weakening the body if christ. Evangelism is on the low and pursuit for vanity is on the high. Why won't Islam capitalize on it. But what you failed to mention is that it is through terrorism that Islam dominated the Christians in Turkey which is happening now in most countries the use of force. And because of disjoint among the Christians that's why this is happening. So it is high time everyone wakes up and do the needful. |

igwedaboss:And is Christianity any better? how was Christianity spread throughout the world especially African and Asia? And slavery is not just about White on Black thing. It's rather force and terrorism. They forced their Christianity and and Jesus, maybe white Jesus down the throat of indigenous people and at the barrels of guns. And then pretend to be "secular". Even in modern day, they still doing the same old christian crusade but now largely turned on Middle East. They hide behind democracy and freedom and destroying people's lives and properties. The fact is they are Christians. 1 Like |

Re: A Hard Lesson From Turkey For Nigerians by Trailblazer1(m): 4:02pm On Sep 16, 2014 |
Empiree: The above quote is smeared with falsity. A false generalization by your kinds that anyone who is not a Muslim must be a Christian. Even the western world who don't give a goof about Christ like the US and even Russia are all labeled christians. Christianity has never applied use of force in its propagation. We won't succumb to the use of Terror to intimidate christians in the north to give up their faith. Every Islamic agenda in Nigeria shall fail. |

tartar9: and how was turkey converted by terror? Pls do youself a favour by reading the post before commenting. The message of the cross of Christ was not forcefully preached with threat and coercion. As in the city of Ephesus Acts 19:20 "so mightily grew the word of God and prevailed" so it will be in Nigeria soon. Even the gates of Islam shall not prevail. |
Re: A Hard Lesson From Turkey For Nigerians by tartar9(m): 8:34pm On Sep 16, 2014 |

Trailblazer1:ha ha ha you got caught pants down. Okay now. Keep up with your wild propaganda machine since you cant google those two world leaders i mentioned, knowing-fully well they are Christians. Let me help you just in case you too lazy to check google. Wikipedia simple says Obama, religion: Christianity. Wikipedia says Putin, religion: Russian Orthodox. Russian Orthodox means Orthodox Christianity. It means that hullabaloo going on btw Russia and US is Christian nation versus Christian nation. In another word, brothers fighting brothers. But they secularized themselves by taking religion out of public and political ambitions. Therefore it means that if these two christian nations killed people, they would not mention religion. But smart people like me know the real deal. |

That's political wing.Your holy book just lied to you.islam can never be the worlds religion and for the Nigerian scene, bokoharam already know their territories and where they can carry out their terror.why is there not bokoharam activities in the west? The simple reason reason is that the Yorubas are enlightened people and have even gone to extent of modifying their own Islamic practices(I heard some of them even play drum in their mosque and worship on Sundays just like christains) So strip yourself from ego and consider who is control of the world( God) bokoharam will never come down to the eastern Nigeria where I am currently based.if that happens,I then means that there is going to be an endless religious war. |
