History was made on Saturday as one of Nigeria's most celebrated pageant- Queen of Aso Nigeria finally staged its 9th edition in style. It was indeed a sight to behold as the venue was filled to capacity.

Gbaggi representative becomes the "Aso Queen" as she wins the Queen Of Aso Nigeria title during the pageant's coronation and award night on 13th of September in the nation's capital city, Abuja, Nigeria.

The 24 year-old FCT born Indegene and graduate of Nasarawa state University overtook 18 other ethnic representatives from FCT Abuja to clinch the coveted title.

This edition which reveals new crowns saw the coronation of the 1st ever Queen Of Aso International won by Ogenna Ekwubiri who represented Igbo ethnic group.

Beauty Aliyu of Fulani tribe emerged Queen of Aso Ambassador, Sandra Godfrey from Ijaw was honoured with Queen of Aso Tourism. While Jennifer Lam, the Kalabari Queen won Queen Of Aso Centenary which also is the 1st ever in the history of the Aso pageant, thanks to the centenary edition of the pageant.Queen Ekiti Deola Osen is decorated as Queen of Aso Model of the Year.

One of the high points of the event was the presentation of Aso Outstanding Award to distinguished personalities and two new branded cars to the top two Beauty Queens of the night - Queen Of Aso Nigeria 2014 and Queen Of Aso International 2014. They are also entitled to all expense trip international contest to represent Nigeria at the Miss Africa Naiades on November 15th

It was indeed a massive outing with headline celebrities, notable beauty queens, top government officials, different embassy high commissioners, super models and Abuja's residents. Several security details were deployed across the venue to provide security for the pageant with regards to the state of the nation

the leggy beauty ambassadors took to the stage for the grand finals, the audience were treated to a unity dance by the contestants.
