I would want to start by thanking every cartalk enthusiast. I have been so very conscious of having an OBD II diagnostic tool 24/7 in my car.
I was driving around MTN maitama office and the CEL of my 2000 sienna popped on. I was really disturbed cos its been long the light came on. I drove to my office which was like 3mins away, brought out my OBD device and did a scan. I got P0773. I was disturbed cos that meant a gearbox malfunction. At the close of work, i went to oando filling station at zone 6 and bought 4 units of 1 litre dextron 3 atf. drove to my mechanic and changed the transmission atf. The following morning, i used the OBD tool to clear the codes stored in the ECU. I have driven the ride really hard for 2 days and the CEL is still off. The performance of the ride has improved a lot, particularly the acceleration. Thank God for his grace.

Thank God you are testifying to the good work of an obd scanner. Guess you used the wrong fluid earlier or your transmission was due for service. I love your quick response to the obd codes you got after you scanned. At least far better than buying a complete transmission

Since i bought the ride. i havent changed the transmission atf. Any car owner that doesnt have an obd II tool doesnt know what he is missing.

I thought they say its all scam

i know a friend who had a P0773, gearbox maintenance issue.His ride is 2000 sienna too. i showed him the result of the scan and within 1 month,his transmission packed up cos he neglected the result of the scan i did for him.
