After the Success of Arrow, and the adding of The Flash as a series, CW has placed series order for the Supergirl character. Supergirl (Kara-el) is a character from the Superman franchise who is the elder cousin of Kal-el (Superman), but due to some complications she arrives on earth years after her baby cousin has grown into a man.
