Earth's Water Older Than The Sun by donlyone(m): 5:52am On Sep 28, 2014 |
The water in our solar system -- including up to half of Earth's supply -- has actually been here since before the birth of the sun, according to new research. Somewhere between 30 and 50 percent of the water in the solar system -- including the water on Earth as well as the ice in comets, the discs around Saturn, meteorites and other planets -- was around before the birth of the sun, according to research conducted by astronomers at the University of Michigan. In a paper published in the journal Science, the team explains that the water originated in the molecular cloud -- the nebula -- that gave birth to the sun, and predates the solar system by around a million years. And they just found this out?! Wel, the Bible already figured this all out. There's more to this water thing. 1 Like |

The discovery indicates that water may be a common component in the clouds of dust and gas from which solar systems are born, and not 'special' to our own. And this has significant implications for the possibility of life being found on exoplanets orbiting stars beyond the sun, according to researchers. Cementing Rubber Plug |

Blakjewelry: The quantity of water on this plannet could not have come from space, why is it that there is no evidence of this happening in history. Also water is so scarce in space that it has rarely been reported, it is probably not on any other planet on our solar system. Scientists can cook up any theory just to prove there is no God. 1 Like |

donlyone post=/post/26822559:why is it that whenever a scientific subject is discussed the first thing that comes to the mind of an average Nigerian Christian is that the subject is to discredit God. water from before the sun simply means trillions of water molecules existed in space before the formation of the solar system. |

Blakjewelry: Why is it that when scientists discover something they don't understand they quickly invent a ridiculous unverifiable theory to explain it. How many discoveries have you read about of water in space or other planets, yes water is that scarce. However, the earth has an abundance of water, how can you say such aboundance came from space where scientists can't seem to find even a moderate amount. By the way, the idea of water floating around the vacuum of space is just ridiculous. |

donlyone:my friend, water is not scarce in space as previously thought. water has been detected in the cool side of Mercury, even the has water lock in the form of ice and has it own water cycle. water has been found on gas giant like Jupiter and Saturn's moon, in fact the Jupiter's moon Europa has a frozen crust of water, covering a thick global ocean. By current estimates, it has twice as much water as all of Earth's oceans and rivers! even comet from the edge of the solar system is made up of water lock in ice and debris. so all these are fact and not speculations. |

Blakjewelry: Ok, thanks for the info. Wait.... picture of water pouring into the earth from space or .......... LoL |

donlyone:it is not an issue of water entering the earth from space, it more of before and during the formation. |
