Eventually jailed(but not tried ) by General Ironsi....was freed during the Civil War, was part of the Biafran Army's war in the Mid West in 1967...and subsequently on its failure...was implicated in a 'plot' to overthrow General Ojukwu, the Biafran Head of State...and was executed in August 1967...as a traitor.
