way to get back to your home screen. Samsung
cleverly hid a fingerprint scanner in there, following
Apple’s footsteps into biometric security.
If you want to start using the fingerprint scanner,
it’s not hard to set up. We’ll show you how! Set-up
the Fingerprint Scanner
1. Select the settings icon in your notification pull-
down shade. Find “Finger Scanner”, and tap that
icon.
2. Select “Fingerprint manager”.
3. Drag your finger over the scanner as shown.
4. Choose a password back-up (be crafty with this
one!).
5. Select “OK” after confirming the password .
6. Tap “Fingerprint” to set your fingerprint as the
lock-screen utility.
If you want to get a bit more granular with your
Fingerprint settings, you can. Repeating steps 1 & 2
above, you can also choose to have your fingerprint
manage your Samsung account for media
purchases, or PayPal transactions.
You can also choose to scan and log up to three
fingerprints to correspond with these three options.
