I hope this post makes it to the Section front board.
Okay. I saw a woman just now on an hospital bed, she is dying of ovarian cancer. I heard her daughter reading a passage from the bible to her. Touching. From the normal tracjectory of things with this diagnosis , this wonderful spirit will soon die. Despite her deep faith in God who never bothered to heal her. I remember months ago when she was starting chemotherapy, how she was so certain her god whom she has always served faithfully will not fail to heal her. Well chemotherapy prolonged her life but God (Yahweh) has failed to heal her. This Woman still ardently loves the Lord though. This script has been played over & over again with different individuals and this wont be the last. Don't you think 'God' can be compared to an abusive Father then?
* If 'God' heals this woman, i hope to resign my job and evangelize to Bhutan...if she dies , the battle to cure my fellow black men of the god delusion will become more assiduous*

I'd love god to stop abusing his little children...people go through so much while believing in the heavenly sky daddy . Fact is he does not exist but many people can not bear to accept that fact.

Death is something we all must go through, we all must feel the pain of death, so is people around us that love us, they would feel the loss of that human life. There is nothing that goes to death in the space of this universe without the permission of GOD.

GOD ABUSIVE? I DOUBT THAT, BUT GOD THE DISIPLINARY, YES DEFINITELY AND EVIDENTLY, HE IS SURE GOOD IN WHOOPING PEOPLE'S BACK.

why can't some of u just biliv whatever u wanted to biliv and leave those who didn't share ur view alone to their things?

I have a nephew born with a heart problem who doctors said won't live up to a year. The heart has holes!

The parents tried soliciting for funds running into millions to no avail. Seven months later, another doctors said he can't live up to the next 3 months. We resolved to prayers, the next scan shows he's healed. Feb, he'll be 4 yrs old! His name has alwys been 'favour', till date!

My last sister got her child developed sideways, so she'll need a operation to deliver. We prayed, and sent prayer requests, 2 weeks to delivery, it was a miracle the doctors won't explain: the child returned to a normal position!

When my grandma fell sick in her early sixties, we prayed (or lemme say they prayed cos I was too young then), but she died eventually! That was years before the rest of many miracles in my family followed. This didn't stop my parents from teaching us to biliv in God!

in 2010, I prayed/fasted not to be deployed to the north, but I was deployed there!
I was glad I was cos it changed my life. I was glad God decided not to answer that prayer cos being posted there at that time was the best thing for my life till date!

Dude, biliv in whatever u wanted, it's non of ur business whether others biliv in what u did not biliv in..

Thank u

OP, the bible says that a man who does not provide for his family is worse than an infidel.

With cases of christians dying of diseases from time immemorial, can't it be said that God is completely irresponsible?

The woman died 22/10/14. I still remember how she 'boasted in the lord'!
I really believe Yahweh has some characteristics suggestive of him being an irtesponsible daddy!

Which doctors saw your nephew? in which hospital? what was the diagnosis of your nephew? The other so-called testimonies are just nothing; i will not comment on them. Am not begging you to join me , everybody has the right to worship an imaginary god who is nothing more than a god of the gaps!

You doubting heathen.
What about the 115 pilgrims who received their permanent cures with steel , mortars and concrete at TB Joshua's bullshyte mountain on September 14th ?
Isn't that a sign for all doubters and mockers that god is great?

So his other testimonies are 'nothing' because it does not conform to your own unbelief? Of course you will query the doctors because you don't want to humble yourself to acknowledge the very glaring fact that miracles happen and God is alive on the throne.

Dude, believe whatever you want to believe, that's your own cup of tea, just don't make a mockery of other people's beliefs.

Stephen Hawkins had a brain problem and the doctor said he won't live up to a year, he is still alive after 40 years. Is that a miracle? Mind you he had never believe in a god.

I am curious to know why God never heals an amputee, is it that his jurisdiction doesn't cover that? Even scientist helps to heal the amputees by giving them artificial legs to make them functional in the society
