The spiritual death, he was talking about means death in hell, that is, Jesus going to hell.

The consequences of our sins is not physical death, it is eternal death in hell(spiritual).

And if you say that Jesus never went to hell, putting aside the fact that the bible proves that he really went to hell, then it means that Jesus NEVER paid for the sins of mankind.

There has to be a legal justice on the punishment of the we, sinners. And for that to take place he has to do it on behalf of EVERY MAN.

The eternal sins of a world without end was laid upon him, proven guilty, and judged to be condemned to death. The judgement of sin is eternal death in hell.

Though, the death lasted for 3days, but the effect of his death, was ETERNITY COMPRESSED IN TIME(3 days)

"Eternity TIME PAST, eternity before him; ALL COMPRESSED IN TIME(3days)."

What you are saying is that Jesus suffered torment in hellfire, no? undecided

We don't have enough information about the three days. Just reference to Him going to some place. Who knows what was there.

On the other hand, this is Jesus we are talking about. He would not have been touched even by death itself had He not given Himself to it. There is nothing in heaven or beyond that could harm Him.

Are you saying that Jesus suffered hellfire for us?
Yes, of course.

That's the real payment(punishment) for sin.

It was an eternal death COMPRESSED in 3days. That's the reason why we receive eternal salvation, eternal justification, eternal redemption, eternal righteousness from what happened in just 3days.

he had to go to hell, so as to finish payment for sin.

I have said before that the payment for sin is eternal death in hell. But being that Jesus is a God, a supreme eternal being, he had to take it all compressed in 3 days.

If not that, then he didn't pay for sin!
Re: Did Jesus Go To Hell Between His Death And Resurrection? by MrPresident1: 12:25am On May 01, 2016
Between his death and resurrection, Jesus Christ was in hell where he went to receive the keys of death to liberate captured souls that were languishing in hades.

Jesus Christ is now risen from the dead and only waiting to receive power from His father to commence ruling.

The Resurrection!

He was proved to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of holiness, by the Resurrection from the dead. He triumphed over sin, the devil an his cohorts.

The Jesus that died wasn't the same that resurrected, and for you to overcome this owrld and sin, you have to be born of God, believing in Jesus (1 John 5:4-5)

The sin was fully paid for at the cross when he agreed to die. When he died, they placed soldiers to guard the tomb, but he arose...
If Chris had not rien from the dead, we are of all men, most miserable wink

1 Corinthians 15:16-20

17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

When was our sins fully paid for? When He agreed to die or when He actually died? And how come He had to pay for it again by suffering the torments of hell? undecided

Israel the woman/wife of God had committed adultery, she must die, that is the law. Everybody knew what she had done, it was in the open, it could not be hidden. God is The King, and Israel is His Queen.

Now check it out this way, if you as a husband loved you wife so much, love as strong as death and you do not want her to die, her death was out of the way, what could you do to save her? You could not pardon her outright because you would be contravening the law of the land which you made, and your reputation for justice would be tarnished or destroyed. In order for her to live, you have to die Ephesians 5:25. When you die, it means that the person against whom she committed adultery has died there is no use punishing her anymore since by her husband's death the covenant of marriage which is till death do us part is broken.

Christ, God in flesh, God incarnated in Christ and died to pay for His wife's sins, to redeem her and reconcile her back to Himself.

The death of God meant that the woman was now a widow, naked, subject and vulnerable. The world cannot be left without leadership, Israel the Queen through the empowerment of God, her husband and King had world leadership and rulership as her birthright, through Christ. So at the death of Christ, world leadership was transferred to the serpent Daniel 4:17. The serpent became the world leader, with responsibility to take care of the woman until her husband incarnates (Revelation 12:14). She is a widow, she has no one to defend her from him, so she is subjected to all kinds of hell in his hands.

But her husband has promised her that he will be back, he left her with a comforter, the Holy Spirit who speaks through the Bible, to comfort her during the time she will be in hell.

He has now arisen from the dead, Christ the husband of Israel has risen from the dead, Alleluia!!!

He will come back again in glory, to give serious judgment to the serpent who hideously maltreated His wife while He was away.

It was all an allegory of love, the Bible is just one long continuous love story between a man, and his woman.

Now when the woman went to hell, Christ was there in hell with her. What this means is that Christ lost power and actually became like ordinary mortal man, this is the meaning of the death of Christ.

His resurrection means He has come into the light of true knowledge, the light of the true Word (breath of God) has shone unto Christ who though is still in hell has now come into self realization of who he really is, risen from the dead, Christ being the firstfruits of them that slept. Christ is the first to wake up from sleep, other sleepers will awake later, at Christ's revelation/coming 1 Corinthians 15:23

He is now only waiting to receive power at His revelation/coming grin

Ask intelligent questions please.

When He rose, shey he said something like...

Matthew 28 KJV
9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

His first words to them was ALL HAIL... let me paraphrase.. Jesus said; MAKE UNA HAIL ME JARE!

Then in verse 18,when he met them again he declared

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

He got that power and so much more after defeating the devil and his demons, stripping them bare, He arose with all power and authority, and commissioned us all. That's where Christianity began...at the resurrection. Hallelujah

Get this, if he didn't arise, we're miserable, for we'd have no high priest. Yes, he defeated the devil and triumphed over them in hell, but His announcement was made after resurrection, proving Himself to be the son of God with power. Glory

Let me show you something, OLAADEGBU, you have to look very well, look very well my friend. A little preamble, the Bible talks about the dead, people that are in the grave, but it is figurative language used to describe people who have lost connection with God, if anyone loses connection with God, that person is alive, true, but that person is DEAD. HE IS A WALKING TALKING EATING ZOMBIE. OLAADEGBU are you getting me? OLA, please look very well, free yourself of pre-conceived notions, and let only the Bible be our guide here.

Ok, so the Bible talks about the dead, and it also tells us that Christ is the 'first begotten of the dead/Firstfruits of them that slept.

Revelation 1:5
5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

1 Corinthians 15:20
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Now, who are the people that slept or are dead? Valid question right? I think yes. Do not forget that we are talking about a mental/spiritual death here:

[b][i]Jeremiah 8:1
8 At that time, saith the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:

Ezekiel 31:15
15 Thus saith the Lord God; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

Israel went into the grave. Israel died a spiritual mental death. Israel lost connection with God, Israel died and went into the grave. The grave is hell Psalm 9:17, this is the portion of every nation that forgets God, Jeremiah 15:6. Israel is presently in hell/in the grave/dead. Which race of people are in hell today, the whipping boy of every body, the one every other race consider to be less intelligent or fools or buffoons? The race at the bottom of every socio economic or political index on earth? That is the nation in hell. Black people. Negros. The word 'Negro' means 'dead' in its Spanish, Latin and Classical Greek origins.

OK. so the dead will rise again, according to the infallible promise of THE MOST HIGH GOD: but everyman in his own order, Christ the Firstfruits cool

1 Corinthians 15:20
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

1 Corinthians 15:23
But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

In conclusion, the grave is hell, and Christ will be the first to rise up from the dead, or from hell. grin

With these few points of mine, I hope I have been able to convince winkyou and not confuse you grin, that, Jesus Christ went to hell between his death and his resurrection grin grin
