Three members (Korean Developers) of the XDA-Developers – Arter97 (Park Ju Hyung), sktjdgns1189 (Ra Sung Hun) and JustArchi have been able to port successfully official Touchwiz Android KitKat 4.4.4 earlier released by Samsung to Samsung Galaxy S3 SHV-E210S (Korean version with 2GB) to the Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 International version. The Korean developers were able to debloat, de-KNOXed, Deodexed and uncompressed the Samsung custom UIs to lighten KitKat OS and able to deploy on the Galaxy I9300.
This is coming on the heels of earlier statements by Samsung that the Galaxy I9300 would not be receiving an official update of android KitKat to the users of the international version due to its 1GB RAM size, which they claim is insufficient to smoothly run the OS on the device.

NB: Please research thoroughly before flashing your device with the custom rom, it’s easy to do, all you need is download the required materials and follow the flashing instructions carefully. Reports have it that it’s successful without much worries. Remember, you flash at your discretion!
