The implementation issues of Wide Area Network is
really unquantifiable as a result of the use of WAN
protocol like frame relay which uses the packet
switching technology. Although it is more effective
than point to point links and runs at a speed of
64kbps to 45mbps. It is inefficient because data are
not encrypted and can be seen by a third party with
relevant expertise. Even at that, there is a less
secured authentication mechanism, and
there is no way to confirm the identity of the person
at the other end. In addition to the aforementioned
problems facing this protocol, it is noteworthy to
mention the fact that data sent be highjacked and an
attacker can use the information to squeeze its way
into the network.
