I've just been given admission to study Microbiology in a certain Nigerian University, but my family and some friends of mine are against my choice of course. Their main reason being; I won't make enough money. I'm not after the gains but what i can do for my society and the world at large e.g making new discoveries, inventing vaccines e.t.c. Please Microbiologists here should help me out with advice and their experience after graduating.

from what i can see here on nairaland it seems microbiology is a dead course..cos nobdy z bold enuf 2 comment...i av also been given admission to study mbl....but am considering changing my course @ level 2...if possible...God help us....and i want 2 knw wat level i would b startin frm if i apply 4 a change in course after lvl 1 in mbl
