It is hard to persuade a Nigerian to go slow on eba, akpu, amala, tuwo shinkafa, ground rice, and semolina to mention a few.
All the above mentioned are mostly eaten with the following soups egusi, okro, ogbono and then graduates to vegetable, edika ekong"the mother of all soups.
The most eaten staple food is rice, there is absolutely nobody that can boast that he/she has not eaten or tasted rice in Nigeria,The rice may be eaten with stew or cooked as jollof is enjoyed mostly by every Nigerian.
Generally, foods eaten in Nigeria are tasty and the soups are mouth-watering and finger-licking!It is sacrilegious to eat fufu and it's chosen soup with knives and fork, hence the phrase "finger-licking".Nigerians are noted for eating food to sustain life and carry out day to day activities rather than weight watching.
