The situation right here is actually repugnant to natural justice, good conscience and equity under customary law depending on the jurisdiction though. Though I don't think there's any customary law that wouldn't cover this

So if taken to a customary court, this actually is a case

So I don't see why the police couldn't do anything

But some times the police tend not to interfere in these cases because they feel it's a family issue and should be settled amicably among them. More like a private matter.

There should be a law that makes se*xual intercourse between parents and children a punishable offense.

It's in customary law though...
But most times courts don't use it.

And the process of making these laws are usually cumbersome...if the legislation should deliberate on that you'll see where some nigerians will complain of them wasting time they should have used to create better laws than delving into 'private' family matters

In this day and age we all know that children must be protected, in some cases even against their parents so a cumbersome process of passing bills and some archaic attitudes should not stop it.
