what age should a parent stop providing food and clothing for their ward ? excluding when you are in higher institution.
And those of you now fending for yourself what age did your parent stop providing your daily bread and butter.

The age statistics will go this way for the major tribes in Nigeria:

Hausa = 6 (Amajiri tinz)
Igbo = 16 (Entrepreneurship tinz)
Yoruba = +50 (do they actually stop?)
Efik/Ibibio/Annang = 12 (house-made tinz)
Fulani = 6 (Cow nomad tinz)

I don't think there's an agreed upon age which parent should stop providing for a lazy child in my case I started fending for my self at seventeen though you will find a man in his late thirties still dependent on his parent.

I can only talk about myself.
They stopped fending for me the moment I graduated. They supported in a very little way when I was still at home before getting a job.
I will also stop fending for my children while they are in the university. I am not looking to bring up dependent children.
With my knowledge, it is key that I take my children through the line of entrepreneurship, skills and sound education.
By graduation, they will be made. I pray Christ name.
